Against the Current follows two women on the Ganges River, attempting to become some of the first licensed female guides, and break down barriers to entry for other women. For Mou and Pinki, it is more than just a summer job. It means economic freedom, the ability to explore the world, a small way to progress women’s freedoms in a traditional society.
